Alan Cormican Aca

Alan Cormican ACA has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Alan currently serves as the Accounting Team Lead at Diligent, a position they have held since August 2023. Prior to their current role, they worked as a Senior Accountant at Diligent from February 2021 to August 2023.

Before joining Diligent, Alan was employed as a Senior Financial Accountant at NGI Management Pty Limited from March 2020 to January 2021. In this role, they reported directly to the Chief Financial Officer and oversaw a property portfolio worth $2 billion in the Sydney CBD. Alan'sresponsibilities included managing the transition of accounting platforms and leading a finance team of four individuals.

Alan also gained experience as a General Ledger Accountant at Abbott in Galway from October 2018 to October 2019. In this role, they were responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and utilizing SAP for financial processes.

Prior to Abbott, Alan worked as an Audit Senior at EY Galway from September 2017 to October 2018. During this time, they worked on various audits for pharmaceutical, property development, engineering, and manufacturing entities. EY provided him with extensive training in managing audits and utilizing data analytics.

Alan began their career as a Trainee Chartered Accountant at DHKN, where they completed their traineeship and earned their ACA qualification. Alan worked at DHKN from July 2014 to August 2017, gaining experience in preparing statutory financial statements, managing conversions to FRS 102, and filing VAT, PAYE, and RCT returns on behalf of clients.

Additionally, Alan has experience working in roles such as Account Manager at Corrib Oil from November 2012 to September 2013, where they managed customer payments, and Sales Representative at Vodafone from August 2012 to November 2012, where they exceeded sales targets and developed their selling and team work skills.

Alan Cormican ACA has a Bachelor of Civil Law degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway, which they obtained from 2009 to 2012. From 2013 to 2014, they completed a Professional Diploma in Accounting at Dublin City University. Alan then pursued further education at Chartered Accountants Ireland, where they completed CAP2 Exams from 2014 to 2015 and obtained the FAE qualification from 2015 to 2016. In 2021, they also obtained additional certifications in Excel: Introduction to Macros and VBA and Mergers & Acquisitions from LinkedIn. In 2004, they completed their Leaving Certificate at St. Raphael's College Loughrea.
