Robert Costello is a software engineer based in Brooklyn, NY. He has a strong desire to have a positive social impact through challenging technical work, making Dimagi a great place to be. He started his career in the fine art world after receiving a Masters in Painting from Pratt Institute. While his time in the arts was very gratifying and personally meaningful, his passion for coding and a need for more broadly impactful work said it was time to make a shift. After a period of self-teaching followed by the completion of a coding bootcamp (Fullstack Academy) he was ready to find the right place to put his skills to work and grow as an engineer. He feels fortunate that the US Health team at Dimagi is that place.
