Daniel Moya

Daniel Moya has a diverse range of work experience in the field of data engineering and database management. Daniel started their career as a Database Developer at Dimensigon in 2012, where they played a key role in the design of an open-source Oracle Licensing Application. In 2016, they became the Head of Data Engineering at Dimensigon, leading a team and coordinating tasks to meet company needs.

In 2014, Daniel worked as an Oracle DBA Consultant and Pre-sales & Infrastructure Architect at a consulting company, where they prepared proposals for customers and conducted architectural studies and solution designs. Daniel also gained expertise in Oracle Engineered Systems and conducted pre-sales architecture studies for Exadata.

Daniel further expanded their experience as an Enterprise Data Architect Consultant at ARICTIS in 2017, where they replied to RFI and assisted sales with RFP. Daniel also performed Proof of Concepts (POC) and Proofs of Value (POV) in the areas of database, middleware, and cloud technologies.

In 2018, Daniel worked as a Senior ETL Developer at Zalando SE, where they contributed to data warehousing, ETL optimizations, and worked with multiple databases for reporting to Microstrategy. Daniel also played a crucial role in helping Zalando zLabels with its partner program and reporting KPIs.

Daniel's expertise in NoSQL databases became evident during their role as a NoSQL Database Expert at SIX Payment Services. Daniel instructed the team in Oracle NoSQL, supported developers with an application for MiFID II compliance, and developed an advanced script for managing any size cluster or automating the deployment of Oracle NoSQL.

Other notable experiences include working as an Oracle DBA Consultant for POST Luxembourg, where they contributed to projects related to high availability, data warehouse consolidation, Oracle licensing optimization, and migrations. Daniel was recognized as the best Oracle Database Professional in the area of licensing and database migrations in Luxembourg.

In 2016, Daniel played an essential role in the migration from Exadata X3 to X5 at The Citco Group Limited. This included designing migration plans, ensuring consistency of 800 GoldenGate trails, and managing high complexity.

Daniel Moya has a diverse education history that includes several workshops and courses at Oracle University from 2008 to 2017. In 2011, they obtained the Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional degree from CAS-TRAINING, specializing in Databases. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2008, Daniel studied Computer System Administration at Rey fernando VI, graduating in 2008.

In 2015, they obtained the Oracle Exadata Database Machine 2014 Certified Implementation Specialist certification and the Oracle Database 11g Security Certified Implementation Specialist certification. In 2014, they became an Oracle Database 11g Certified Master - OCM 11g and obtained the Oracle Database 12c Administrator Certified Professional certification. In 2012, Daniel earned the Certified Exadata Implementation Specialist certification from Oracle and the Netezza Technical Professional Data Warehouse Administrator certification from IBM. Additionally, they obtained the Oracle Certified Expert Real Application Clusters 11g & Grid Infrastructure Administrator certification in 2012 and the Oracle Certified Professional Database 11g Administrator certification in 2011.
