Michael DeVries has a diverse work experience in dimensional management and engineering. Michael started their career at Textron Automotive in 1994 and worked there as a Dimensional Management Engineer until 1998. Michael then moved on to Variation Systems Analysis, where they held the position of Dimensional Management Engineer from 1994 to 2002.
In 2002, they worked as a Dimensional Management Engineer for Collins & Aikman through various contracts. Michael was responsible for dimensional management in the GM Business Unit and created GD&T drawings in Unigraphics. Additionally, they created measurement points in Unigraphics to ensure quality control.
From 2006 to 2007, Michael worked for Orchard Design and Intier Automotive as a Dimensional Management professional. Michael contributed to the LX Instrument Panel, Console, and Door Trim Programs before returning to Collins & Aikman.
In 2007, they joined IAC Group as a Dimensional Management Engineer. Michael updated existing GD&T in CATIA V4 and supported Engineering and Manufacturing through PPAP. Michael also completed RSS Studies for customer-driven objectives.
From 2009 to 2010, Michael worked for IAC North America as a Dimensional Engineer. Their responsibilities included developing initial Datum Schemes, creating GD&T Drawings in CATIA V5, and completing RSS Studies for Chrysler Build Objectives.
Since 2010, they have been working at Dimensional Control Systems. Initially, they held the role of Dimensional Engineer, specializing in Data Infrastructures. Michael developed control plans, control plan master workbooks, and data analysis workbooks. Michael also created Microsoft Excel tools for automating tolerance updating and comparing CAD features to CMM program features.
More recently, Michael has taken on the role of Application Engineer at Dimensional Control Systems, specifically focusing on QDM-3D and QDM-Web. The exact start and end dates for this position are unknown, as they are currently employed in this role.
Michael DeVries received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1993. Michael also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Administration (Business) from the same university during the same time period. Prior to their higher education, Michael attended Whitehall Highschool, but the specific years and degree obtained are unknown.
