Scot McDermid has extensive experience in the training and consulting field. Scot currently works as a Training Consultant at Dimensional Insight since February 2021. Prior to this, Scot worked as a Technical Trainer at Charles River Development from September 2019 to February 2021. Before that, they were a Trainer at FDMGroup from May 2011 to September 2019. Scot also has experience as a part-time SQL Server Instructor at LasComp from October 2009 to May 2011, where they taught advanced classes preparing students for Microsoft certification exams. Scot's career started as a Computer Consultant at Sierra Systems from June 1991 to October 1997.
Scot McDermid earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University between 1986 and 1991. McDermid also attended LasComp Institute from 2004 to 2005, where they pursued studies in programming/databases, although it is unknown whether they obtained a degree from the institute.
