Robert Hartley

Robert Hartley has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry, entrepreneurship, and consulting. Robert is currently the Managing Director at F4P (Avoca) since July 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded and served as the Managing Director at Dinghy from March 2017. At Dinghy, they built the world's first on-demand business insurance solution for freelancers.

Robert also has experience as the Chief Underwriting Officer at Kingsbridge Contractor Insurance from December 2020 to July 2022. Robert co-founded Dinghy USA in October 2020, where they served until July 2022.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Robert worked as an Independent Consultant & New Product Innovator from September 2016 to March 2017. Robert also held roles as an Underwriter & Broker Relationship Manager at Qudos Insurance A/S from July 2014 to September 2016, and as a Product Manager at Simply Business from December 2012 to June 2014.

Robert Hartley completed their BA (Hons) degree in Philosophy from the University of Southampton from 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended Epsom College from 1993 to 1997, where they studied Maths, Physics, and Art A-levels. In 2007, they pursued further education and obtained the ACII qualification from the Chartered Insurance Institute, which they completed in 2009.
