Jonathan Heeney

Jonathan Heeney is an accomplished professional with a distinguished background in veterinary pathology and biomedical sciences. Since July 2017, Jonathan has served as CEO of DIOSynVax Ltd, a Cambridge University spin-out focused on innovative vaccine development technology aimed at enhancing protection against infectious diseases. Concurrently, Jonathan has held the position of Professor of Comparative Pathology at the University of Cambridge since September 2007, where research centers on viral diseases and vaccine development for both human and veterinary applications. Jonathan's earlier career includes roles as a Veterinary Pathologist at the Radiobiological Institute and as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Stanford University School of Medicine, complemented by extensive education culminating in a ScD from the University of Cambridge and a PhD from the University of Guelph.
