Ralf Wagner

Advisor at DIOSynVax

Ralf Wagner is a German businessman and scientist who currently serves as an advisor at DIOSynVax. Ralf was the CEO and CSO of Geneart AG from April 2000 to April 2012. Prior to that, they were a professor of molecular microbiology (virology) at Universität Regensburg.

Wagner's responsibilities as CEO of Geneart included representing the company at capital markets events, managing growth, and ensuring successful interaction between the company's four divisions: finance, business, operations, and research & development. As CSO, their direct responsibilities included overseeing research and development, innovation, and intellectual property management.

Under Wagner's leadership, Geneart experienced sustained growth and profitability. Ralf also successfully managed the company's acquisition by Life Technologies in 2012.

Ralf Wagner received their PhD in Biology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Ralf then did a PostDoc in Medical Microbiology at University of Regensburg, where they are now a Group Leader for HIV Research. Ralf received their Diploma (equivalent to a Master's Degree) in Biology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
