Senior Engineer at Dirac

Simon Widmark has a diverse work experience in both engineering and research roles. Simon started their professional journey in 2011 at Uppsala University as a PhD student, focusing on control theory with a specialization in active noise control. During this time, they developed a special interest in embedded systems and worked on active noise control for car interiors. Simon continued to work at Uppsala University until March 2019. In November 2018, they also took on the position of a Research Engineer at Dirac, where they worked until April 2021. Simon joined Dirac initially as a Research Engineer in February 2011, and later advanced to the role of Senior Engineer in April 2021. Overall, Simon Widmark has extensive experience in engineering and research, particularly in the fields of control theory and active noise control.

Simon Widmark holds a strong academic background in the fields of electrical engineering and control theory. From 2011 to 2019, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Uppsala University, focusing on Electrical Engineering and Control Theory. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2010, Simon completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Systems Engineering, also at Uppsala University.

In addition to their formal education, Simon Widmark has obtained two certifications in Agile Education by Scrum Inc. In March 2023, they obtained the Registered Product Owner™ certification and the Registered Scrum Master™ certification. These certifications demonstrate their expertise and proficiency in agile methodologies and project management.
