Chris Corderoy

Chris Corderoy is an experienced technology executive currently serving as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Direct Ferries since February 2025. Previously, Chris held the CTO position at The Independent from August 2021 to February 2025 and led technology initiatives at QA Ltd as Lead 2.0, focusing on digital product development and technology transformation. Chris's past roles include CTO at New Scientist, where leadership involved significant tech refactoring and audience development, and CTO at Immediate Media Co., overseeing a large team and managing an £8m budget for product development. Chris also co-founded Magicalia, securing £1.4m in VC funding and achieving substantial growth before a successful exit. Chris began a career in technology as a Crash Diagnostics Specialist at Fujitsu Global and holds a 1st Class Honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire.
