Stuart Stevens

Stuart Stevens has extensive experience in the insurance sector, currently serving as the Head of Intel and Policy and Commercial Validation at Direct Line Group since March 2007. In this role, Stuart leads 60 FTE across six teams to develop strategies and best practices that have achieved a 550% increase in fraud prevention value over the past five years, resulting in multi-million pound savings in application and claim fraud across Personal and Commercial Lines. Additionally, Stuart undertook a secondment as the AML & Sanctions Manager, overseeing the management of DLG's AML and Sanction Team. Prior to the current position, Stuart worked as a Large and Complex Loss Handler at Direct Line Group from February 2000 to February 2006, managing catastrophic injury claims for motor and liability products. Educational background includes studies at Charles Darwin University in the UK between 1984 and 1990.
