Senior Data Center Engineer Contracted To Nvidia at Direct Line

Ben Baker has a diverse range of work experience in the IT industry. Ben started their career at MGM Resorts Inc as an Infrastructure Services Configuration Management Hardware Analyst III, where they maintained and supported hardware for mission-critical servers in a high-volume environment. Ben then moved on to Xerox Business Services, LLC as a Lead Hardware Specialist, where they led a team responsible for server support and build.

After that, Ben worked at J.Crew as a POS Analyst on a contract basis. Ben then became an IT Field Engineer at Techromatic, providing IT support and server management to clients in various industries.

Following this, Ben worked as an Independent IT Consultant for both Bistro Ten18 and Flavor Catering, offering IT consulting services. Ben then joined BMB as a Remote Engineer.

Ben's next role was at CompuCom, where they worked as a Level 4 SDI Data Center Support Engineer contracted to Intel. Ben then moved to V-Soft Consulting Group, Inc as a Data Center Infrastructure & Services Engineer contracted to Comcast.

Most recently, Ben worked at Direct Line Global as a Senior Lead Data Center Engineer contracted to NVIDIA, where they were responsible for hardware installation and cabling, configuration and break/fix support, and creating documentation and workflow processes for server installation.

Throughout their career, Ben has gained experience in hardware installation, configuration, and support in various environments, as well as supervision and training of technicians.

Ben Baker attended the School of Visual Arts from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Illustration. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the following: "Learning Linux Command Line," "Linux: Files and Permissions," and "Linux: Overview and Installation" from LinkedIn in June 2020. Ben also completed the "Prepare for CompTIA Server+ (SK0-004) Certification" from LinkedIn in November 2019 and the "Splunk 7.X Fundamentals" from Splunk in May 2019.
