Jared Ballou

Jared Ballou has a diverse range of work experience in the field of sales and strategic alliances. Jared is currently serving as the Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Alliances at DirectDefense since May 2022. Prior to this, they held roles at Proofpoint, where they were the Director of Sales for the West and SLED in the Information Protection division from January 2019 to January 2022. Jared also served as the Director of Sales for the West and North Central in the Insider Threat Management division from December 2019 to January 2021. Before their time at Proofpoint, Jared worked at ObserveIT as the Sr. Director of Sales and Strategic Alliances for the West from December 2018 to December 2019. Jared also briefly served as the Sr. Director of Channel Sales for the Americas from July 2018 to December 2018. Prior to ObserveIT, Jared was the Vice President of Sales and Strategic Alliances at MixMode (formerly PacketSled, Inc.) from March 2016 to June 2018. Jared also had a long tenure at Rapid7, where they held various roles including Director of Sales for the Western US & Canada/MME from January 2015 to February 2016, Director of Sales for the Central Territory from January 2014 to January 2015, Regional Manager of Sales for the West Central from January 2012 to December 2013, Enterprise Sales Manager for the West Coast from March 2009 to January 2012, Manager of West Coast Business Development from January 2008 to March 2009, Lead for West Coast Business Development from March 2007 to January 2008, and Business Development Representative from March 2006 to March 2007. Jared's early career included a sales and marketing internship at Bauer Nike Hockey from October 2004 to June 2005.

Jared Ballou completed their high school education at Kingswood Regional High School from 1996 to 2000. Jared then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services at Endicott College from 2000 to 2004.
