Frank Mitchell

Frank Mitchell has four years of work experience, beginning in 2020. In 2020, they worked as a Data Scientist at Nude, where they designed and developed scalable data extraction and transformation pipelines using RESTFUL APIs, researched and developed novel solutions to help users save for their home deposit, and collated multiple data sources into an easily-understood, centralised data dashboard using Power Bi and Azure Function Apps. Frank also worked as a Data Science Intern at BiP Solutions Ltd, where they worked closely with BiP Solutions to develop a system that could accurately classify e-procurement contracts, researched and implemented classical document classification algorithms such as Naive Bayes and Support Vector Machines, and provided state of the art solution by researching and implementing two recent papers that used Bi-directional Long-Short Term Memory networks and Transfer Learning for document classification. In 2022, they will be working as a Senior Data Engineer / Scientist at DirectID, and as a Data Scientist at Karakuri.

Frank Mitchell received a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from City, University of London between 2009 and 2011. Frank then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence and Applications from the University of Strathclyde in 2020.
