Gavin Upiter

Gavin Upiter has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Gavin founded Directo.com.au in 2017, an online marketplace connecting pharmacy buyers and sellers. Gavin also served as the Managing Director of Evolution Pharmaceutical Services, helping pharmaceutical companies with new business strategies. Gavin held the position of Managing Director for Amneal Pharmaceuticals in Australia from 2014 to 2017. Apart from their entrepreneurial ventures, they worked as the Executive Director of Slade Health Pty Ltd, providing sterile compounding solutions to hospitals and pharmacies. Gavin was also the Managing Director of Direct Pharmacy Imports, Director of Alembic Pharmaceuticals Australia Pty Ltd, and Founder, CEO, and Managing Director of Generic Health Pty Ltd. Prior to these roles, they worked in various positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb Australia and Bristol-Myers Squibb South Africa, including Associate Director, Project Leader, Production Manager, Engineering Manager, and Plant and Production Engineer. Currently, they serve as the Non-Executive Chairman of MindBio Therapeutics, a clinical-stage drug development company focusing on microdosing psychedelic medicines for the treatment of mental health conditions.

From 1989 to 1992, Gavin Upiter attended the University of the Witwatersrand, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
