Michael Hartman

Michael Hartman is the General Counsel and Chief External Affairs Officer at DIRECTV, where they oversee all legal, regulatory, external affairs, and compliance matters for AT&T’s U.S. pay TV businesses. They have extensive experience in global legal counseling, specializing in industry regulations across technology, telecommunications, and media. Previously, Michael served as Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at DIRECTV, and General Counsel & Head of Business Affairs at StarMedia Network, Inc. They began their legal career as an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton, focusing on international transactions. Michael holds a law degree from Columbia Law School.
