Deborah Dagit serves as the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Johnetta Betsch Cole Legacy Institute since January 2024, collaborating with Dr. Tiffany Jana. As the President of Deb Dagit Diversity LLC since August 2012, Deborah provides consulting services focused on diversity practitioners. Since April 2013, Deborah has been a Corporate Consultant with Disability:IN, supporting disability inclusion for Fortune 1000 companies. From June 2001 to December 2012, Deborah held the position of Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer at Merck, where responsibilities included global diversity and inclusion strategy. Deborah was a founding member of The Conference Board's Workforce Diversity Council from 1993 to June 2012. Additionally, Deborah co-chaired the Board of Directors for the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network from 2008 to 2010 and has held various leadership roles in diversity and inclusion across multiple organizations since the 1980s. Deborah earned a B.S. in Clinical Psychology and Anthropology from Oregon State University and a post-graduate degree in Industrial and Clinical Psychology from San Jose State University.
