Peter Schmidtke

Peter Schmidtke has a long and varied work experience. Peter started their career in 1999 as an Executive Manager for creativeID Christian Hoffmann & Peter Schmidtke GbR. In 2002, they completed a Civil Service for the Universitätsklinikum Leipzig. In 2004, they worked as a Junior SEO (permanent contract) for Altima. In 2006, they worked as a Database Administrator (Internship) for Total SA, and in 2007 they were a Research Associate (Internship) for sanofi-aventis. In 2008, they were a Research Associate (Internship) for L'Oreal and a PhD Student for the University of Barcelona. In 2011, they were a Post Doc for Institut de Recherche Servier. Since 2013, they have been a Scientific Project Manager for Discngine. During their work, they have been involved in methods development, project support, HPC computing, virtual screening, homology modeling, peptide conformational analysis, structure based drug design methods development, binding site prediction, and characterization.

Peter Schmidtke obtained their Abitur from Johannes Kepler Gymnasium Leipzig in 2002, specializing in Biology and German. Peter then attended the University Paris Diderot, where they obtained a BSc in Bioinformatics in 2006, followed by an MSc in Bioinformatics in 2008.
