Ryan Summe

Ryan Summe is currently a Senior Data Scientist at Discord, where they have been working since 2025. Prior to that, they founded and served as CEO of Waypoint from 2015 to 2018 and held various roles at Google, including Strategy & Operations Manager and Senior Ad Tech Sales Engineer between 2020 and 2020. Ryan's early career includes positions at companies such as Biogen Idec, Danaher Corporation, and McKinsey & Company. They are pursuing multiple educational degrees, including an M.S. in Biotechnology from Georgetown University and a B.S. in Biology and Chinese from the same institution, alongside studies in Mandarin Chinese, and participation in Harvard Business School's HBX program.
