The mission of the Discover Ames is to acquire meeting, convention and event business. Discover Ames will seek to acquire groups that will have citywide impact and the potential to return to Ames on a regular basis and that will strengthen occupancy in historically soft business periods.

Discover Ames actively develops business from a variety of sources, including group tours, leisure travel and convention and meeting markets. This facilitates the arrival of tens of thousands of people and millions of dollars to the community.
