Alexander Baumann

Alexander Baumann has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Alexander is currently the Head of European Business Development at Eurofins DiscoverX, where they are responsible for developing the sales strategy and tactics for the business in Europe. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Business Development at Biogazelle, where they focused on expanding the company's business geographically and within existing accounts. Alexander has also held various roles at Eurofins Pharma Discovery Services, DiscoverX Corporation, ProQinase GmbH, MP Biomedicals, and Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg, where they gained experience in sales, business development, and research. Throughout their career, Alexander has successfully managed sales teams, guided account managers, and supported smooth integration during an acquisition. Their expertise lies in the genomics and transcriptomics arena, with a strong focus on drug discovery and development.

Alexander Baumann's education history includes a Diploma in Biology, which they obtained from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) between 1991 and 1997. Following that, they pursued a phD in Molecular Biology at The University of Freiburg from 1998 to 2002.
