Neil Charter

Neil Charter has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research and management. Neil started their career as a Scientist at UC Berkeley in 1995 and continued in this role until 2002. During this time, they gained valuable research experience.

In 2002, Neil joined Eurofins DiscoverX as a Scientist and later became the Director of LeadHunter Profiling and Screening Services. In this role, they successfully established a new business unit and expanded its portfolio to include over 700 targets. Neil also developed a reputation for providing personalized service to clients.

In 2016, Neil was promoted to Vice President at Eurofins DiscoverX and took on the responsibility of Assay Operations for the BioMap and PathHunter Service divisions. In addition to managing the PathHunter services team, they also oversaw the operations group of BioMap, which provides human cell-based disease models.

Most recently, Neil held the position of Senior Director at Eurofins DiscoverX. In this role, they managed manufacturing and quality control of Cell and Reagent products. Neil successfully led the construction of a new lab to expand manufacturing capacity and implemented electronic batch records in all areas of manufacturing.

Neil Charter obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biological Sciences from the University of East Anglia, where they studied from 1984 to 1987. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Virology at Imperial College London from 1988 to 1992.
