Matt Devries is an electronics engineer and software developer who has worked in the automotive and maritime industries. Matt began their career as a firmware engineer with Prosolia, Inc., developing embedded firmware for mass spectrometry automation systems. In 2010, they joined Allison Transmission as a controls & algorithms engineer, developing algorithms for hybrid transmissions. Matt also developed a joint powertrain simulation in Simulink with Cummins for evaluating fuel economy. In 2017, they joined Ultra Maritime as a senior software engineer, working on software development and electrical engineering projects. Matt is currently employed as an electronics engineer, software developer at DISHER.
Matt Devries holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, as well as Bachelor of Science degrees in both Mechanical and Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same school. Matt also participated in a Study Abroad Program in Engineering at the University of Stuttgart. Devries is certified as an IPC J-STD-001 Certified IPC Trainer from the IPC-Association Connecting Electronics Industries.
