Joe Ortiz

Joe Ortiz is an accomplished marketing executive with extensive experience in content marketing and brand strategy across some of the most recognized media companies. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Content Marketing at Hulu for Onyx Collective and Freeform since February 2021, Ortiz leads a comprehensive marketing team focused on driving direct-to-consumer streaming viewership. Previously, Ortiz held the position of Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing & Brand at NowThis, managing brand strategy for the global news brand. Ortiz's notable tenure at MTV spanned over 17 years, where roles included Senior Vice President of Marketing and Brand Creative and Vice President of On-Air Promos. Additional experience includes leadership roles at VH1, the Walt Disney Company, Infoseek, and early positions in media strategy. Ortiz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from UC Santa Barbara and has furthered education at California College of the Arts, Syracuse University, and Harvard Business School.
