Matt Walters

Matt Walters has over a decade of experience in production technology and digital operations within the film industry. At The Walt Disney Company, Walters held several executive positions, including VP of Production Technology and Director of Motion Picture Labs, from January 2019 to December 2024. Prior to this, Walters served as Chief Technology Officer at Codex Digital, leading the development team in both software and hardware products, and also held a partnership role as CTO at 5th Kind, where recognition included the 2012 DAMMY of the Year. Earlier career roles include Digital Operations Supervisor at SpeedRacer, managing the production pipeline, and Digital Asset and Visual Effects Editorial Coordinator for Superman Returns, facilitating the visual effects review process. Walters is an alumnus of the University of North Texas.
