Peter Oconnell

Peter OConnell has extensive experience in the media and entertainment industry, currently serving as Vice President of Platform Distribution at The Walt Disney Company since July 2013. In this role, Peter oversees the distribution of major brands including Disney+, ESPN, Hulu, and ABC. Prior to this, Peter held positions as Sr. Director of Affiliate Sales at ESPN from January 2007 to July 2013 and as Director of Local Advertising Sales at The Walt Disney Company from January 2001 to December 2006. Peter's career began in production at ESPN from May 1997 to December 2001. Peter holds a Master's degree in Sports Communication from the University of Connecticut and a bachelor's degree from Towson State University, complemented by foundational education at Mount Saint Joseph High School.
