Rob E. is an accomplished media executive with a career spanning over four decades, currently serving as the President and General Manager at ABC11 WTVD Raleigh-Durham since July 1998. Under Rob’s leadership, ABC11 WTVD-TV received numerous accolades, including the 2024 Best Newscast by the Radio and Digital News Association of the Carolinas and the 2023 Outstanding Newscast by the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters. Prior to this role, Rob held the position of Vice President/News Director at ABC7 KABC-TV Los Angeles, where the station won the 2020 National Edward R. Murrow Award for Breaking News Coverage. Additional previous positions include News Director at ABC11 WTVD and various roles at News 10 NBC Rochester, WSMV, 13WHAM-TV, and WWNY TV. Rob holds a BA in Speech Communications from SUNY Geneseo and has pursued further education through multiple leadership programs, including those by the Linkage Global Institute and the Racial Equity Institute.
