Mike Hanson is a seasoned biochemical engineer specializing in biopharma and CGT manufacturing process development. They obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University. Mike served as a Graduate Research Assistant at UMBC and held various engineering roles at Wyeth, Pfizer, and Spark Therapeutics, culminating in their current position as Associate Director of Upstream Process Development at Dispatch Bio. Additionally, they contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2018. In 2024, Mike began furthering their expertise in data science at the Flatiron School.
