Mathieu Savaria

Senior Software Developer at Dispatch Science

Mathieu Savaria has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Mathieu started their career as a Software Developer at Environnement Canada (SMC) in 2009, where they worked on improving an in-house software used for studying air quality. Mathieu collaborated closely with scientists and implemented better algorithms for estimating road dust production.

In 2011, Mathieu joined Eidos Montreal as a Junior Online Services / Tools Programmer. Mathieu played a crucial role in developing and maintaining tools used internally by the team and externally by different Square-Enix studios. Mathieu'sresponsibilities included monitoring and analyzing HTTP requests, creating applications for game metrics analysis, and implementing real-time log collection and viewing solutions.

After their tenure at Eidos Montreal, Mathieu worked at Apcurium as a .NET Developer from 2014 to 2017. Mathieu then moved on to Dispatch Science in 2017 as a Senior Software Developer, contributing to the development of a delivery management system for couriers, transporters, and shippers.

In 2020, Mathieu took on the role of an iOS Developer, creating the app "RunFit" exclusively for Apple Watch users. This app enables runners to track their weekly progress and display it on their Apple Watch faces. It features a native and user-friendly design with support for various complications and automatic data refresh.

Mathieu Savaria completed their Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering with a specialization in multimedia from Polytechnique Montréal from 2005 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma of College Studies in Natural Science with a specialization in mathematics from CEGEP Saint-Jérôme from 2003 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Mathieu also holds certifications in Xamarin Certified Mobile Developer from Xamarin, which they obtained in July 2016, and IETLS - English Assessment - Band Score of 8 from the British Council, obtained in May 2015.
