Mark Mitchnick

Mark Mitchnick is a seasoned leader in the biotechnology and health sectors, currently serving as Director at the Population Council and as Chief Executive Officer of Red Queen Therapeutics. With extensive experience as the Founder of Calm Water Therapeutics and roles at organizations such as burnd, Dispel, and SHY Therapeutics, Mark has a strong track record in developing innovative solutions across various health disciplines. Additionally, Mark holds the position of Venture Partner at ATP and President of the Simple Works Foundation, a nonprofit focused on children. Mark previously led MindSciences, Inc., which was acquired by Sharecare, and contributed to the International Partnership for Microbicides as Director and Chair of the Finance Committee. Educational credentials include an MD from Georgetown University School of Medicine and an OPM from Harvard Business School Executive Education, along with a BS in Animal Sciences from Purdue University.
