Abdul Kasim

Abdul Kasim has a wealth of experience in the technology industry. Abdul began their career in 1991 as a Software Engineer at Sprint, where they eventually became Senior Engineering Manager and Senior Product Planner. In 2000, they moved to Sorrento Networks as Director of Market Development, where they established partnerships in Storage Area Networking (SAN) segments. In 2001, they joined ADVA Optical Networking as Vice President, Global Marketing and Ethernet Business Development. Abdul established a professional marketing and sales support organization and developed brand identity, web and online assets, and marketing, sales and product collateral. In 2008, they co-founded Critical Links and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer with P&L responsibility. Abdul championed with the Board and successfully pivoted the company into the education-technology market. In 2017, they became an Advisor for a stealth mode startup company and in 2018, they co-founded DisplayRide Inc. as Chief Executive Officer, responsible for vision, strategy, fund-raising, marketing/sales, and business development.

Abdul Kasim has a varied educational background. Abdul received a S.M. (Master of Science) in Management of Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Abdul also earned an M.S. in Computer Science from Kansas State University. Abdul Kasim completed a graduate course in Business & Legal Implications of the Internet (Joint offering w Harvard Business & Harvard Law) at the Harvard Kennedy School. Abdul also completed MBA Coursework in Business Management at the University of Kansas. Abdul Kasim's educational background is rounded out with a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Computer Engineering from Bangalore University. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: MIT: Internet of Things: Roadmap to a Connected World from MIT Professional Education in 2017, and Harvard University: Justice from edX in 2013.
