Disrupt Development
Suzan Joy is a highly experienced consultant and social entrepreneur currently serving as a Consultant at Disrupt Development and as the East Africa representative for the Wellbeing Economy Alliance since September 2021. As the Founder of The Fireplace since February 2022, Suzan focuses on fostering emotional healing and economic independence for women. Additionally, in the role of Country Coordinator for SES4FOOD since January 2021, Suzan connects social entrepreneurs in the food security sector with necessary support. Previous roles include Jury Advisor at Partos, East Africa Programs Administrator and Senior Fellow at The Pollination Project, and Administrator at Hope Positive Uganda. Suzan also co-founded and directed Solidarity Uganda, which emphasizes training nonviolent movements. Suzan's educational background includes qualifications from various institutes focused on leadership and social change, alongside a degree in Development Studies from Uganda Christian University.
