Distinction is so much more than a presentation skills company.

At the heart of nearly every professional or personal interaction is our ability to communicate information and ideas in a way that is meaningful to others …

Meaningful because the message itself resonates with the needs and issues of our audiences and cares enough to look through their knothole in the fence.

Meaningful because the visuals aren't a random mess of text, graphics and imported elements but shaped with care and simplicity so the audience’s journey of understanding is not needlessly impaired.

But probably the most meaningful attribute of all is the business communicator’s personal toolkit that contains the skills and instincts needed to forge trust, establish believability and connect at a more personal level with those they would hope to influence or inspire.

Distinction offers our clients from Portland to Boston – from Brussels to Dubai, an essential set of business professional services to make a difference in the way they communicate with their employees, important partners and key customers.

1) Delivery skills coaching:
Distinction works both in one-on-one and small group coaching workshop settings to take business communicators to the next level of personal effectiveness through videotaped coaching and a unique skill-upon-skill training model shaped around four essential skill areas.

2) Message shaping and visual design support:
Our professional team helps you shape information and visual impression in a way that helps you get through to the busy and distracted people in your life.

3) Adaptive skills coaching:
Not everyone is wired the same way. Your more analytical types love the detail… and lots of it. While others would much rather have you get to the point or talk your ideas out over coffee. Being able to recognize these different styles and adapt yours in the moment is an essential skill for building relationships and extending your influence.
