Brian Njogu

Brian Njogu has worked as a Frontend Engineer at Distributed since March 2022. In this role, they have built real-time, data-driven analytics software for Lytt, reducing driller collisions by nearly 50%. Brian also spearheaded the frontend development for an active intelligence geomapping utility service for BT, significantly improving demographic analysis speed. Additionally, Brian delivered a working insurance aggregation platform prototype for an investor pitch, leading to successful seed funding.

Brian briefly worked as a Frontend Developer at The Shop Doctors in January 2023.

Before that, Brian was a Full Stack Engineer at GRANULAR IT LTD from February 2020 to February 2022. During this time, they played a key role in building an AWS-based event booking platform, increasing the booking rate by 12%. Brian also led the rebuild of a legacy online meetings medical web app, resulting in improved attendance and engagement rates. In addition, Brian pioneered the development of a cancer-support PWA that helped raise $50k by the end of 2021.

Brian started their career as a React Native Developer at The Kenyanwallstreet in January 2020. Brian participated in the early prototype and build of HISA, an app that promotes borderless investments within Africa.

Overall, Brian Njogu has gained extensive experience in frontend and full stack development, and has successfully contributed to the development of various software solutions in the technology sector.

Brian Njogu attended The Technical University of Kenya from 2017 to 2019. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, however, their degree remains incomplete. In addition to their formal education, Brian has also obtained several certifications. In December 2019, they completed a course in Ethical Hacking Learning through Udemy. In June 2021, they participated in Android Development Training provided by Google Developers. Most recently, in April 2022, Brian obtained a certification called React Codeathon from Rviewer.
