Senior Software Engineer at Ditto

Andi Wang has diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Starting in 2011, Andi worked as an intern at Shenyin & Wanguo Securities Co. Ltd. In 2011, Andi also began working at The Education Arcade at MIT as a Game Designer and Prototyper, where they collaborated on designing quests for an educational Massive Multiplayer Online Game.

In 2012, Andi joined The Mobile Innovation Group at MIT Sloan as a Big Data Analyst. From 2013 to 2014, Andi worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the MIT Mathematics Department, conducting research on topics such as random matrices and information theory.

Moving on to industry roles, Andi worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the MIT Media Lab from 2013 to 2014, where they researched applications of time-of-flight cameras and generated 3D models. In 2014, Andi started working at Oracle as a Member of Technical Staff, contributing to stability improvements in a C++ client for Apache ZooKeeper.

From 2015 to 2016, Andi served as the project owner for a code restructuring project at Oracle's Big Data Discovery group, coordinating implementation efforts and improving performance. From 2016 to 2017, Andi designed and implemented synchronization-related performance enhancements for the Dgraph.

Joining Oracle Advanced Analytics in 2017, Andi was responsible for setup and maintenance of the development environment for Oracle Machine Learning for Python. From 2019 to 2022, Andi worked at Materialize as a Member of Technical Staff, contributing to core features and query optimizations for the query engine.

Currently, Andi holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at Ditto since 2022.

Andi Wang attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with Computer Science.
