Joe DeVivo

Joe DeVivo has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Joe started their career at Mediapulse as a Senior Software Engineer in 2006. Joe then worked at The 41st Parameter as an Application Architect, where they spearheaded a research initiative and built a Hadoop and HBase framework. Joe joined DiCOM grid, Inc as a Software Architect, where they worked on front-end development and automated testing. At Basho Technologies, Inc, they served as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on two projects, Cuttlefish and riak_test. Joe later joined Chef (formerly Opscode) as a Software Development Engineer, where they worked on the analytics team. Joe then joined Heroku as a Lead Member Technical Staff, where they worked on adding SNI to the router. At Postmates, they started on the platform team and later led a team to build the company's first Point of Sale integration service. Joe then joined BlockFi as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on build infrastructure and coordinated a migration to GitHub Actions. Most recently, Joe worked at Fable as a Principal Software Engineer, taking ownership of the build and continuous integration infrastructure and migrating a TypeScript monorepo. In 2023, Joe will join Ditto as a Senior Software Engineer.

Joe DeVivo attended Northwestern University from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science. Following this, from 2003 to 2005, they pursued further education at Rensselaer at Work, earning a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
