Nigel Hooke has extensive work experience, starting in 1993 as a Software Engineer at TUSC Computer Systems. Nigel then worked as a Consultant at Object Oriented Pty Ltd from 1994 to 1998. Nigel then joined Hewlett Packard as a Mathematician from 1998 to 2001. Following this, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Object Consulting from 2001 to 2005. Nigel then served as a Principal Engineer at Hydrix from 2005 to 2016. Most recently, they held the positions of Next-Generation Analytics Lead and Machine Learning Lead at DiUS, starting in 2016.
Nigel Hooke completed their Ph.D. in Computer Science at Duke University from 1987 to 1992. Prior to that, they earned a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Physiology and Mathematics from Monash University between 1978 and 1981. Nigel also obtained a certification in Deep Learning from Coursera's specialization by deeplearning.ai in 2018.
