Jaia Thomas

Jaia Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the legal and entertainment industries. Jaia founded and serves as the CEO of Diverse Representation, an initiative focused on increasing the number of African-American professionals in the sports and entertainment field. Jaia Thomas also runs their own law office, specializing in sports and entertainment law, where they assist clients with business formation and drafting business plans. Jaia has held teaching positions at UCLA and Southwestern Law School, developing curriculum and providing instruction on copyright law and starting a law practice. Additionally, they have served as an adjunct professor at American University, teaching media entrepreneurship. Jaia Thomas has also worked as an attorney for the Barack Obama Campaign, organizing voter protection efforts, and as an attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where they assisted with discovery and legal research. Jaia has had internships at Verizon Wireless, NBC News, and Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, where they gained experience in public policy advocacy, legal research, and civil matters.

Jaia Thomas attended Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, where they obtained a Diploma. After completing high school, they enrolled at Colgate University in 1999 and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government. Jaia further pursued their education at The George Washington University Law School from 2003 to 2006, where they earned a Juris Doctorate.
