Laura McGee has a diverse background with experience in various organizations and roles. Laura is the Founder and CEO of Diversio since March 2018. In 2019, they became the Co-Chair of the Expert Panel on Women's Entrepreneurship at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and a David Rockefeller Fellow at The Trilateral Commission. Laura is also a Board Member at Global Citizen Canada and an International Advisory Board Member at the University of Waterloo. McGee serves as an Advisory Board Member at ArcTern Ventures and Ted Rogers MBA at Ryerson University. In 2017, they were recognized as one of the Top 25 Women of Influence and co-founded #GoSponsorHer, a campaign focused on championing high-potential women. Additionally, in 2014, they co-founded Summit Leaders, an organization that empowers students from low-income backgrounds to become business leaders and entrepreneurs.

Laura McGee has a solid educational background. Laura started their academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in American Studies from Western University. This achievement was particularly notable as Laura was honored with the Gold Medal for their outstanding performance in this field. Laura then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in American Studies, also from Western University.
