Javier Marti is the CEO and founder of Divirod, a company that specializes in ecological monitoring. Javier has also worked as a project engineer and lead system engineer for the European Southern Observatory and as a co-founder of VSur, a Spanish wine company.
Javier has always been interested in the environment and how human activity can impact it. This led him to their work with NEON, where they were responsible for managing and leading the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) construction project and operations. Javier was able to turnaround the construction project and efficiently accelerate deliveries, bringing Observatory operations from zero to 45%. Javier's work on this project showed their dedication to understanding how changes in climate, land use and invasive species can impact ecology.
After their work with NEON, Javier continued their career in environmental engineering by working as a project engineer for the European Southern Observatory. Javier then went on to work as a lead system engineer for ALMA, also known as the Atacama Large Millimeter Array.
In addition to their work in environmental engineering, Javier is also a co-founder of VSur, a Spanish wine company. Javier started this company in 2005 with the goal of providing high quality wine at an affordable price. Javier's experience in the engineering and business worlds have made him a well-rounded entrepreneur and CEO.
Javier Marti has a Ph.D. in Electromagnetics from Technische Universiteit Delft, and a certification from Kauffman Fellows in Venture Deals Spring 2017. Javier is also an Ingeniero Superior in Telecommunications Engineer from Universidad de Málaga.
