Established in 2006 at the University of Houston, four talented friends came together to form the original "Divisi String Quartet." Shelli Mathews, the owner, envisioned a more expansive future: a music entertainment company comprising exceptional classical musicians performing at their highest potential. Today, Divisi Strings boasts an impressive performance schedule of 800+ engagements per year, enchanting guests at weddings, parties, showers, galas, proposals, bar and bat mitzvahs, recordings, concerts, film, non-profit organizations, and corporate events throughout Houston, Texas, and nationwide. With innovative ensembles like Amp'd String Quartet and Collide, Divisi Strings has paved the way for classically-trained musicians to shine. Combining classical instruments like violin and cello with dynamic DJs, Divisi Strings offers the premier pop string ensembles, featuring the most talented string musicians and DJs.
