Daniel Talsky

Daniel Talsky has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Daniel currently works as a Senior Software Engineer II at divvyDOSE, an online pharmacy specializing in multi-dose packaging for medications. In this role, they are passionate about patient safety and has helped the company serve their large customer base after being acquired by Optum in 2021.

Prior to divvyDOSE, Daniel worked at Capital One from 2017 to 2021, where they held the position of Senior Associate / Software Engineer. Daniel played a crucial role at the intersection of CloudOps and application development, creating scalable applications for 8 million active users and implementing various technologies such as Python, Django, Docker, AWS ECS, and AWS Fargate. During their time at Capital One, they also authored cyber threat modeling documents, created containerized environments using Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes, and contributed to a large Python 2-3 codebase conversion, among other achievements.

Before joining Capital One, Daniel worked at Talent Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer from 2016 to 2017. Daniel also served as the Director of Technology at Satellite Collective from 2012 to 2016, where they consulted and developed new ways for the organization to present art and created a custom web application featured in the New York Times. Furthermore, they worked as a Software Engineer at The Orchard from 2013 to 2016, co-architecting and creating BACON, a tool for automating YouTube monetization.

Daniel's earlier experiences include working as a Web Developer at The Jones Group Inc., Bandwidth Productions Inc., and Big Fish Games. Daniel also worked at Serials Solutions as a Sr. Developer, where they retooled existing legacy products, improved output performance of an API framework, and wrote scholarly articles on library and technology for public outreach.

From 2002 to 2008, Daniel owned and served as the Application Architect at Roboticat Communications, where they worked on various projects.
