DIY Kitten – Reliable Handywoman Services in Redcar & Teesside

I’m Victoria, a Level 2 qualified joiner with a lifelong passion for DIY, decorating, and craftsmanship. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, I was my dad’s right-hand helper on projects around the house – always eager to learn, always fascinated by tools and how things were built. That early experience instilled in me two values that guide DIY Kitten today: do it properly, and take pride in every detail.

While other kids played with toys, I was building things, fixing things, and finding joy in the craft. Those years, combined with my formal joinery training, shaped me into a handywoman who can tackle everything from flatpack assembly to painting, decorating, and small home repairs. I’ve always believed no job is “too small” – every task deserves care, precision, and a friendly, professional approach.

DIY Kitten was created to bring a fresh perspective to home improvement. As a woman-led service, I understand that many people prefer a friendly, approachable tradesperson they can feel comfortable having in their home. My customers value reliability, politeness, and neat workmanship as much as the finished result – and that’s exactly what I deliver.

Services include:

Painting & decorating

Flatpack furniture assembly

Joinery & small woodwork projects

Basic plumbing & repairs

Hanging doors, shelves, curtain rails, and blinds

General DIY & maintenance

Whether it’s brightening up a room with a fresh coat of paint, fixing those little niggling jobs that never get done, or giving your home a polished finish, DIY Kitten is here to help.

Based in Redcar and serving Teesside and beyond, my mission is simple: to provide practical help with a smile, and to make sure every client feels proud of the results.

Reliable. Neat. Friendly. No task too small.
