Cristina Vela, CMA, has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and roles. Cristina started their career at the European Central Bank as a Junior Financial Auditor from June 2005 to December 2006. Cristina then moved on to ICEX, where they worked as a Macroeconomic Analyst in the Economic and Trade office of Spain from January 2008 to December 2008. Cristina then joined BBVA as a Financial Analyst in Strategic Planning and Controlling from February 2009 to April 2012. Following that, they joined DKSH and held various positions, including Financial Analyst in Group Controlling from April 2012 to June 2015, Manager of Corporate Controlling from July 2015 to March 2016, Manager of Group Accounting and Financial Reporting from March 2016 to May 2017, Director of Global Finance Business Partner from May 2017 to March 2023, and currently as the Senior Director of Global Finance Business Partner for Performance Materials since February 2023.
Cristina Vela, CMA, obtained their Bachelor's degree in International Economics from the University of Navarra in 2005. Cristina also participated in an exchange program at the Université libre de Bruxelles in 2004-2005 and the Erasmus program at Università Bocconi in 2003-2004. In 2007, they earned a Master's degree in International Business Administration from ICEX-CECO. Additionally, Cristina holds certifications as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in 2014 and as a European Financial Advisor (EFA) from EFPA Spain in 2011.
