Alan Bickerstaff

Alan Bickerstaff is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and venture capital. Currently serving as Partner and Head of Texas Emerging Growth & Venture Capital at DLA Piper since August 2023, Alan has also held the position of Partner at Shearman & Sterling LLP since March 2018. Prior to these roles, Alan was a Partner in the Corporate Securities Section and Technology and Emerging Companies Group at Andrews Kurth LLP from March 2007 to February 2018. Alan's career began at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and Fulbright & Jaworski LLP, serving as an Attorney in both firms. Alan holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree in Corporate Law from The University of Texas School of Law and a cum laude BBA in Finance from the University of North Texas.
