Joe Malcolm

Joe Malcolm is a Senior Associate and Solicitor at DLA Piper since March 2018, specializing in both contentious and non-contentious legal matters. Notably, Joe acted for the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) in opposition to Pacific National’s proposed acquisition of Aurizon's intermodal rail assets. Prior experience includes serving as an Analyst at the ACCC, a Public Groups and International Analyst at the Australian Taxation Office, and various roles during law studies, including teaching Property Law at Monash University. Joe holds a Master of Laws in Commercial Law from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The Australian National University, and a combined Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University. Additionally, Joe has international experience through a semester at the University of Leeds.
