John Wei

John Wei handles a range of federal and international tax matters for corporations, partnerships, and individuals, including M&A, inbound investment, and private investment funds. They have served as a Law Clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals and completed a Ph.D. in Medieval European History at Yale University. John has held positions at various law firms, including as a Partner at DLA Piper since 2025, and they were also a Guest Researcher at Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich as part of a Humboldt Fellowship. Additionally, they have experience as an Assistant Professor of Medieval and Early Modern European History at Grinnell College.
