Nick Bitel serves as the Chief Executive of the London Marathon Group since May 2024 and holds a consultancy role at DLA Piper. Bitel is also the Chair of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and a Trustee of The Wimbledon Foundation. Previously, Bitel was the Chief Executive of the London Marathon from June 1995 to May 2024. Additional roles include consulting positions at Armstrong Teasdale LLP and Kerman & Co, as well as board memberships at Sport England, UK Sport, and the London Legacy Development Corporation. Bitel has extensive experience in advising prominent sports events and has lectured on sports law in the U.K. Bitel earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from The University of Manchester and attended Davidson College and St Paul's School.
