The gaming industry invests heavily to build sustainable player communities. The DLC trains the people who keep them that way.

The DLC Leadership Program is the first free, evidence-based certification program built specifically for digital community leaders.

The people most responsible for the health of online communities have almost no formal training for the work they do. The DLC changes that. Leaders learn how to set boundaries, resolve conflict, and protect their communities ...without burning out in the process.

The curriculum is built across three pillars — Development, Leadership, and Community — covering core competencies like conflict resolution, community design, and wellbeing. Masterclasses taught by industry experts and organizational partners go deeper, working at the intersection of trust and safety, advocacy, and applied research.

In 2026, we piloted with 84 digital leaders across six continents. The results: significant confidence gains across every core competency, and 98% said they'd recommend the program. Most had already changed how they lead by the time it ended.

Demand is growing, and so is industry buy-in. Graduates come from teams at organizations like Roblox, Games for Change, and Keywords Studios, and the program is proudly supported by Founding Partner Shine a Light Gaming.
