Steven Reid

Steven Reid is an accomplished professional in turf and forage grass variety development, currently serving as Head of Lawn and Consumer Turf and Head of R&D for North and South America at DLF since September 2019. Previously, Steven held multiple prominent roles at DLF PICKSEED USA from May 2008 to April 2023, including Research Director and Chief Breeder, leading significant developments such as the Banfield perennial ryegrass used in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Steven's extensive experience also includes roles as a Research Agronomist and Research Assistant at DLF International Seeds, along with various positions in livestock management and agriculture research. Steven earned a BS in Crop/Animal Science from Iowa State University, complemented by studies at Oregon State University and Blue Mountain Community College.
